Colorful,
funny and simply appealing love story about “Ayaz” & “Oyku” and their
friends has entered in a new season without cherries but sure with lots of
excitement. From week to week every new episode gives us some new Turkish
perspective, about some cheerful life, far from blood revenge, old customs,
saving proper virtues, “forehead kissing” and all these insignificant “yenge”
& “teyze” characters. Just plane story, humble girl meets a handsome, rich
man , she hates him, he instantly falls in love, does crazy things for her and
slowly she starts to love him too, just as it happens in real life, right!?
Probably
that’s the reason it gained a huge amount of fans, even outside of borders of
Turkey, especially Balkan area, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia and surrounding
countries. All of us can relate to it, from every girl dreaming about future and
every woman longing for past; Even myself I can say that this enchanting story
found a special place in my mind and it wont be out there soon!
We share a
similar customs, tradition, food, some of us religion, more than 10.000 same
expressions , since we were “under” Ottoman Empire and it looks like we are
there again, thank to the wonderful “dizi dunyasi” that you created!
All though
we often don’t understand half of the episode, we enjoy watching it and we impatiently
wait every new episode, later commenting it, criticizing or just “fainting” out
of excitement! Seems to me many years later “Turks” came again and conquered
us, entering our living rooms and flat screens in a good way I think!
Of course
its also due to the usual custom where every male role is written so women can
get crazy forever and never remain the same but that’s another story...
Kiraz
Mevsimi won the heartsof all of us, we all just got addicted to it right after
the first episode…”Oyku” played by Ozge Gurel is a very sweet character with
her panic attacks, spontaneity and her awkward attitude and off course “Ayaz”
played by Serkan Cayoglu, handsome and daring enough to mess up “Oyku’s”
routine...
Two of them
really did a great job portraying such specific characters with different side
story in every new episode, different emotions and most important they shine
with great chemistry between them on screen. Sometimes we hate Oyku’s screaming
and we would wish Serkan gets off his back that annoying “dub effendi” but
overall we adore two of them. Even all of that and the other cast members and
their refreshing personalities make a success. Maybe the ones with highest impact in the show are
“Burcu” played by Nihal Işıksaçan and “Ilker” played by Serkan Börekyemez, two
of them are just amazing at their roles, all of us would love to have “Burcu”
as a friend and “Ilker”, well you should be crazy not to like him!
Expecting
every week a new episode of Kiraz Mevsimi made this ugly weather easier to
bare and thank you for that and I know it’s a hard job but if you could please
make 100 more episodes and make this world a better place.
Maybe our
“view” does not count in ratings but we suffer so much when some show gets
cancelled, we always get lost in translation but we try to learn “cok guzel”
and they always say to us “bak bu yabanci kiz” but its ok, we love you anyway…
