Kanal D’s new season project starring Halit Ergenç and Bergüzar Korel is counting down the days for its premiere.

Produced by O3 Media and directer by the Taylan Brothers, Vatanım Sensin has a huge and famous cast. The series star Onur Saylak, Senan Kara, Baki Davrak, Şebnem Hassanisoughi, Celile Toyon, Boran Kuzum, Pınar Deniz, Miray Daner, Kubilay Aka and Hakan Salınmış as well as Ergenç and Korel.

Vatanım Sensin tells the story of a family, torn apart by war, finding their way back to each other during İzmir’s invasion and the Balkan war, when telling between a hero and a traitor was next to impossible. It depicts the survival story of an enchanted, passionate and unforgettable love overshadowed by war.

Vatanım Sensin continues shooting these invasion days of İzmir (and Turkey in general) in a huge live-action set established in İstanbul as well as in İzmir, Ayvalık and İzmir, selected and redesigned specifically for their apt historical texture.

The series’ art direction team recreated the iconic locations of Thessalonika, İzmir, Kordon and Kemeraltı of the 1900s in a way that complements the original places and their architecture with meticulous hard work. Some of these huge sets include a hospital that hosts thousands of wounded soldiers, a prison where war prisoners are kept and a gigantic military headquarter for the invaders.
